Teachers often express that they don't know how to help their pregnant or postnatal students other than have them do Cat-Cow or Child's Pose or lie down. Often times, pregnant and postnatal students simply get ignored in class.
But this doesn't have to be!
As the teacher, you can go beyond your 3 go-to poses by learning how to effectively and powerfully use a vast array of yoga practices to support mamas. For example, yoga can be used as a great way to prepare for labor or provide support through postpartum. Yoga also teaches mamas how to integrate emotional and spiritual support into these major life changes that we call pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.
Join Cat Allen at her 3-Day Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Retreat on March 31-April 2, 2017 at Soma Ranch, Texas. This training is for teachers of any movement style or background. You will learn a rich and vast repertoire of yoga practices that help your pregnant and postpartum students in both the group class and private class settings. You will learn how to tailor practices for different experiences within pregnancy and postpartum (e.g., pregnancy pains and imbalances, vaginal vs. surgical birth, common postnatal imbalances)
