The Magician is not about tricks, illusion, or having supernatural powers. At its healthiest, The Magician represents our capacity to transform, envision, connect the unseen with the seen, and participate consciously in creating the life we are called to live.

The Magician asks a powerful question:

“What if more is possible than I can currently see?”

The Magician understands that every meaningful transformation begins as a vision. Before something can become reality, someone must first imagine it. A dream, an idea, a healing, a new relationship, a different way of living—all begin with the willingness to see beyond what currently is.

In a culture that can sometimes encourage us to settle for what is familiar, The Magician offers us another way forward: one that awakens imagination, courage, faith, and possibility.

Yet many of us have learned to shrink our dreams.

We may have experienced disappointment, failure, rejection, or circumstances that caused us to stop believing that change was possible. We may have convinced ourselves that our dreams are unrealistic or that it is too late to begin again.

The Magician invites us to reconsider.

Not every dream will unfold exactly as we imagine. Not every desire is ours to pursue. And transformation does not mean controlling every outcome.

Instead, The Magician teaches us to partner with possibility.

We bring our vision, our intention, our gifts, our willingness, and our action. Then we remain open to the wisdom and unexpected possibilities that emerge along the way.

The healthy Magician knows that true power is not about controlling others or manipulating circumstances. It is about becoming conscious of the power we already carry—the power to choose, to respond, to create, to transform, and to influence the world through how we show up.

Throughout November, our Soma Faith practices will focus on embodied experiences that awaken the visionary spirit within. Through movement, meditation, EFT tapping, reflection, music, breath, prayer, and mindful presence, we will explore what it means to embody a healthy Magician—the one who sees possibility, trusts the creative process, and courageously takes steps toward what could be.

The healthy Magician knows:

  • My vision matters.

  • Possibility begins with imagination.

  • I have more power than I sometimes remember.

  • Transformation begins with a willingness to change.

  • I can influence what is within my reach without needing to control everything.

  • Faith allows me to move toward what I cannot yet see.

  • My gifts can become an offering to something greater than myself.

This month is an invitation to dream again.

What have you stopped believing could be possible?

What vision continues to stir within you?

What would you begin if you trusted that you didn't need to see the entire path before taking the first step?

The Magician reminds us that transformation rarely happens all at once. Sometimes it begins with a single thought, a whispered prayer, a courageous choice, or one small action that says:

“I am willing to believe that something different is possible.”

As we move toward the close of the year, November offers a beautiful opportunity to reflect not only on where we have been, but on what we are being invited to create next.

May November be:

  • A season of vision.

  • A season of possibility.

  • A season of courageous transformation.

  • A season of awakening your gifts.

  • A season of trusting what you cannot yet see.

The Magician's Invitation:

“Dream boldly. Believe in possibility. Bring your vision into action, and trust that transformation begins when you are willing to take the first step.”

Join us this month as we explore the transformative power of The Magician through movement, mindfulness, faith, and embodied practice.

Vision begins in the imagination.
Transformation begins with possibility.
And dreams begin to take form when we have the courage to believe they can.

Welcome to The Magician.

We’re on a heroic journey for 2026. Each month we spotlight a different hero archetype through dance, movement, exploration, discussion, and education.

All experiences will be online via Zoom with 1-7 day replays.

There will be live movement classes 10am Monday, Thursday, Saturday, Fridays, plus Saturday 8:45 5 Stages Developmental Experiences, all via zoom with replays.

Helen will teach the majority of these classes, Irene will continue to provide Feldenkrais experiences and Natasha and Gigi teach Nia.

You can also enjoy rePLAY experiences including dance breaks, EFT tapping, Evolutionary Mystic Meditations and more varying from 10 - 45 minutes with 3 day replays.

Beyond continuing to provide our regular somatic (Body Centered) movement experiences that support your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, this new 12‑month, 365‑day, project aims to

  • deepen our understanding of the personalities within us by exploring them through movement, exploration and education.

  • develop additional resources for self‑awareness and fascination

  • move toward being the best humans we can be (yes! let’s dream and aim big LOL)

The 12 hero archetypes, popularized from Carl Jung's work, are universal character patterns used in storytelling, branding, and psychology, representing core human motivations and experiences, and include the Innocent, Everyman, Hero, Caregiver, Explorer, Rebel, Creator, Lover, Jester, Sage, Magician, and Ruler, each seeking different things like freedom, connection, or mastery.

The 12 Archetypes:

  • The Innocent: Seeks happiness and safety; optimistic, simple.

  • The Everyman: Wants to belong and connect; relatable, down-to-earth.

  • The Rebel: Wants revolution and to break rules; disruptive, transformative.

  • The Explorer: Seeks freedom and new experiences; adventurous, independent.

  • The Hero: Aims to prove worth through courageous action; competent, disciplined.

  • The Lover: Seeks intimacy, connection, and passion; sensual, loyal.

  • The Caregiver: Desires to help and protect others; nurturing, generous.

  • The Jester: Wants to live in the moment and bring joy; fun, playful.

  • The Creator: Aims to build something of enduring value; innovative, artistic.

  • The Sage: Seeks truth and understanding; wise, knowledgeable.

  • The Magician: Wants to make dreams come true; visionary, powerful.

  • The Ruler: Seeks control and order; authoritative, leader.

How They're Used:

These archetypes help authors create relatable characters, build strong brands by aligning with consumer desires, and offer frameworks for personal growth by identifying one's dominant patterns.

“In 1996, as a Nia Technique trainer, realizing I needed to do more of my own inner work and be better able to hold space for leading people through embodied movement experiences, I began a master’s in Alternative Dance Therapy at the Jung Center in Houston. That started a 30-year journey of fascinated interest in authentic movement, archetypes, and somatic (body centered) healing.

I’m excited to bring these passions to our 365 and 30 day movement journeys in 2026.”
— Helen Terry
