Joe and I have begun a new way of sharing Soma Ranch through HomeExchange. We recently hosted April, from Costa Rica, who was returning to her home town of Montgomery to be near family, especially following the birth of her grand daughter.
“Soma Ranch is an amazing location situated just outside of Montgomery, Texas. I recently stayed here while visiting the area to help my daughter following the birth of my granddaughter, and I was looking for a peaceful location where I could truly relax. Helen and Joe are absolutely lovely hosts who provide easy communication and a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere; they truly felt like old friends from the moment we first met. The ranch home itself is clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything you might need during your visit. Although I was traveling solo this time, the house is incredibly spacious and would easily accommodate a large family or a group traveling together. For me personally, it was the genuine hospitality, the expansive green landscape, the well-designed outdoor spaces, and the refreshing pool that combined to make it the perfect stay. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking my coffee every morning on the front porch swing and spent my afternoons bird watching from the huge back deck. Another highlight of the property is the presence of gentle donkeys and horses, who are always happy to receive carrots and a quick scratch if you are so inclined. I was incredibly impressed by my experience and definitely look forward to future stays here whenever I am back in the area.”
