Saturday Morning "Awareness of Bones"

This Saturday we “turn the page” with a fabulous lesson all about “Awareness of Bones”. Yes, we enter into the 4th, and final, module of Nia 5 Stages lessons. This year we’ve been on a journey through all 52 Nia 5 stages lessons, neatly divided into 4 modules, each containing 13 lessons.

The lesson about “Awareness of Bones” includes lovely nuggets of curious information like:

  • every bone tells a story

  • bones are alive and form a moveable frame

  • rough parts of bones say “i’m here to help smooth connections”

  • we have about 300 bones when we’re born

  • we have about 206 bones as adults

  • bones are strong AND light

  • 2 bones in the body are translucent (like cathedral windows)

Step into a 5 stages class with expectation that you will

  1. learn something,

  2. feel better and

  3. raise your fascination, particularly with regards the Body.

Think of the 5 stages class as

  • a glorious 60 min immersion of preparation into the focus for our Nia class.

  • An exploration of the body’s way (science of the body) in relationship with your body’s way. (the current design and function of your body).

Where you learn through both cognitive and somatic practices.

The lesson includes a beautiful format of Look, Listen and Imagine. Using different functions of the brain and styles of learning to absorb relevant and fascinating information.

For example
”Imagine your Chest is a cathedral”, “ imagine your ribs move like an accordion”, “imagine your head is a bowling ball”, “Imagine your spine is floating like clouds”

To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone

Our 5 Stages 8:45am class and Nia classic 10am are focusing on Awareness of Bones. You’re welcome to join us online for either class. Or entertain a luxurious double scoop! The 5 stages class is a luxurious 1 hour preparation where we go deep into the focus, experience the concepts in our body then energize what we’ve learned and explored through the Nia classic class at 10am.

In nature, there is no separation between design, engineering, and fabrication; the bone does it all.
